COMPETITION DETAILS

NET Games

NET Games are Handicapped games that use either your TGF Handicap or 75% of your non-TGF Handicap.

9 Hole Events = $15 cash prize fund

18 Hole Events = $26 cash prize fund

Prize funds for each game are shown for 9s/18s.

NOTE: Sometimes these games are included in Event Fees

Format | Team Best Ball

  • The best individual score from each hole forms your team's score for that hole
  • You still play your own ball and everyone records their score on each hole

Competition

  • YOU and your CART Partner OR your FOURSOME (TEAM) vs the Field
  • A minimum of 16 players is required for TEAM Net

Handicap Adjustments

  • CART Net = 75%
  • TEAM Net = 50%
  • This percentage is applied to each player only for this game.
  • This counters the "ham & egg" affect that best ball introduces.

Other Adjustments | No handicap strokes on Par 3s

Pots

  • 9 Hole Events = $4/plyr
  • 18 Hole Events = $8/plyr

Notes

  • In the case of a missing partner OR partner without a handicap
  • CART Net = Player will be paired with player from other cart
  • TEAM Net = "Ghost" Player will be randomly selected from field

Flights | Based on number of players entered

  • <23 Players = 1 Flight
  • 24+ Players = 2 Flights

Format | Individual Stableford - Handicapped

  • Gain points per hole (See points below)

Competition | YOU v the Field with 100% TGF Handicaps

  • Cash

Modified Stableford Points System

  • Net Dbl Bogey + = -1 Points
  • Net Bogey = 0 Points
  • Net Par = 1 Point
  • Net Birdie = 2 Points
  • Net Eagle = 3 Points
  • Net Dbl Eagle = 4 Points
  • True Hole In One or Double Eagle = 8 Points

This is a running pot for each of our city chapters and may be won on any hole played in TGF Events.

Gross Games - Optional

The following Gross (Not Handicapped) games are available to add as follows:

9 Hole Events = Add $15

18 Hole Events = Add $26

Prize funds for each game are shown for 9s/18s.

Format | Individual Skins

  • Skins are awarded to any player in the field who is the only player to have the lowest score on any hole
  • If there are 7 or fewer entrants, then there will be on flight and 50% Handicaps will be used

Competition

  • YOU vs Field or Flight

Adjustments | No handicap strokes on Par 3s

9 Hole Event Flights | Based on number of players entered

  • <8 Players = 1 Flight = 50% Handicaps
  • 8-31 = 2 Flights
  • 32+ = 3 Flights
  • Flights are divided evenly regardless of handicap

18 Hole Event Flights | Based on number of players entered

  • <8 Players = 1 Flight = 50% Handicaps
  • 8-15 = 2 Flights
  • 16-23 = 3 Flights
  • 24+ = 4 Flights
  • Flights are divided evenly regardless of handicap

  • 18 Hole Events = $18/plyr

This game is dependent on the number of players who buy into Gross games. If there are too few, there will not be a game. If there are enough players, there will be between 1 to 2 Closest to Pins on 9-Hole events and 1-4 on 18-Hole events.

Individual Gross is You vs the Field straight up, total score, without handicaps.


Requirements for game to occur:

  • The game is dependent on the number of players who buy into Gross games. 
  • If there are too few, there will not be a game, and pot money will be added to the Skins game.


Flighting for fairness

  • If there are enough players, there will be between 1 and 6 flights depending on the range and groupings of starting handicaps. 
  • The goal is to not have any greater than a 6 stroke handicap range (18 hole handicap) with any flight.

  • Flights pots = Player portion of entry X players in flight
